Iniciativa Comunitaria wins important grant for its mental health clinic

The philanthropic initiative Yield Giving, created by MacKenzie Scott, awarded the Community Research Initiative (ICI) organization a $2 million donation after being selected from 6,353 applications. This award supports entities working in areas with great needs in the United States and Puerto Rico.

The donation will be allocated to the Brega Bien program, a comprehensive mental health clinic for children and youth aged 6 to 17 and their families in Hato Rey. It will offer outpatient services and workshops tailored to the community's needs, opening a healing and accessible space for mental health treatment.
