Iniciativa Comunitaria receives a $2 million donation from Yield Giving for its mental health clinic

MacKenzie Scott's Yield Giving granted a donation of $2 million to Community Initiative. The donation will be invested in the “Brega Bien” program, a comprehensive mental health clinic for children and youth aged 6 to 17 and their families. The money will allow the completion of the restoration of the program's headquarters building and the start of service offerings to the community.

“Brega Bien” will provide outpatient services in psychology, psychiatry, social work, alternative medicine, occupational and recreational therapy. They will offer workshops focused on technology use, body and artistic expression, and tutoring. All of this will take place during non-traditional hours tailored to the needs of the children and their families.
